15° Power Factor Measurement
Specifications tell part of the story. Measurement reveals how the blank actually behaves.
Rather than relying only on the line class or specifications printed on a rod, the 15° measurement system allows us to analyse the actual power and action of the blank. This gives us an objective reference when comparing rods, planning modifications or designing a custom build.

SOLITIP TECHNOLOGY
Strength and Sensitivity Where It Matters
Conventional rod tips use hollow tubular construction. Solitip technology uses specialist solid-carbon construction where appropriate to create a highly flexible, sensitive and durable tip system.

Solitip Solid-Carbon Tip
It allows us to influence the characteristics of the rod while addressing one of the areas where fishing rods are commonly damaged.
Each application must be selected and tuned for the particular rod.
02 — CONNECTION REINFORCEMENT
SoliCuff
Ferrules and rod connections are subjected to concentrated loads every time a rod bends. SoliCuff reinforcement is designed to strengthen these critical areas while remaining integrated into the finished rod.
Where required, the normal decorative winding can be applied over the SoliCuff so the finished reinforcement becomes part of the rod’s appearance.

The Combinat
The Combinat is a modular fishing rod concept developed around interchangeable rod sections.
Instead of treating every rod as a fixed configuration, selected sections can be combined to create different setups for different fishing situations.
This makes it possible to create multiple fishing options from one carefully developed system. It is particularly interesting for anglers who want versatility or a practical system for travel.
The Combinat is not simply a dressed blank. It is a modular fishing system developed through measurement, engineering and an understanding of how every section works together.

More Than 40 Years of Rod-Building Knowledge
Solitip ZA brings specialist fishing rod repair, customisation and rod-building knowledge to South Africa.
The work is supported by more than four decades of experience developed by Solitip founder and master rod builder Theo Matschewsky.
Michael Fouracres continues this tradition in South Africa, combining established Solitip workshop knowledge with personal local service.
Our goal is not simply to build another fishing rod. We want to understand what the angler needs and then repair, refine or create the rod accordingly.
